[Update] Woman Fatally Shoved Into Path Of Times Square Subway Train, Suspect In Custody

[Update Below] A unidentified woman has been taken into custody after she allegedly shoved a person to her death in front of a train at Times Square today.

Police say the incident happened at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the southbound 1 train track at Times Square. The victim was waiting for the train when the woman, whom the Post says was wearing a pink shirt, shoved her in front of the oncoming train.

The suspect was stopped by police and taken into custody at the scene. 1/2/3 trains are currently running with delays, and 2 train is running along the 5 line from the 149th Street-Grand Concourse station to the Nevins Street station due to the police investigation.

Update: Police now confirm that the victim was a 49-year-old woman. The suspect, a 30-year-old woman whose name hasn't been released, had been reportedly arguing with the victim on the platform before she pushed her into the oncoming train. Cops added that charges are pending against the suspect. According to another report, the woman may have tried to shove someone into a train last month.
