No arrests have been announced in the case.

Police were searching Monday for a shooter who killed a man and injured another at a Bronx public housing complex Sunday, according to NYPD officials.
Jermaine Nibbs, a 45-year-old Bronx resident, died at Lincoln Hospital after being shot in the torso around 2 p.m. behind one of the buildings at NYCHA’s Mott Haven Houses on East 143rd Street and Willis Avenue, police said. A 40-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with several gunshot wounds to his abdomen, and police said he was in stable condition.
Officials were still investigating a motive for the shooting and did not yet have a description of a possible suspect.
The incident is the latest in a series of homicides at the city’s public housing complexes over the past few days. Those include the stabbing of 40-year-old Shariff Clindinin at the Douglass II site on the Upper West Side on Friday and the shooting of 34-year-old Christopher Jimenez at the Manhattanville Houses in West Harlem on Thursday. Police said they were still searching for suspects in both cases.
Homicides are trending downward both at and outside of public housing citywide so far this year, according to NYPD data. Public housing complexes recorded eight homicides from January through April 13, compared to 13 in the same period last year, the data shows.
