Police Release Videos Of Suspect In Fatal Upper West Side Stabbing

A man was fatally stabbed during a fight outside an Upper West Side restaurant earlier this week, and police have now released a pair of videos that show a suspect in the murder.

The homicide took place on Thursday just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, when Special Anthony Stewart, a 24-year-old Upper West Side resident, was arguing with a man in front of La Nueva Victoria Restaurant on Broadway and 95th Street.

A witness, George Wheaton, described the scene in the immediate aftermath of the stabbing: "I heard a lady screaming, 'Stay on the ground! Stay on the ground!' Then I saw he was laid on the sidewalk. He was breathing heavy. His chest was moving. He was on his back."
