A man found dead on the R train early Wednesday morning was robbed by a female passenger — and later sexually violated and robbed again by a male passenger, police said.

Police were searching for two suspects in the incident. They did not release the name of the victim or either suspect in public statements, but a poster distributed to MTA workers identified the man sought for "sexual misconduct of a dead human body" as 51-year-old Carlos Garcia, with a last known address on Manor Avenue in the Bronx.

According to police, around 10:48 p.m. Tuesday, a woman approached the unconscious and unresponsive man aboard a southbound R train near the Whitehall Street station. They said she “removed unknown property” from the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police released images of the woman they’re seeking. She was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black baseball cap, with a hat pulled down over her eyes.

Police say they believe this woman robbed an unresponsive man on the R train late Tuesday night.

A second suspect — identified in the wanted poster as Garcia — was also seen on surveillance footage taking items from the man’s pockets before committing a sexual act on the victim just after midnight, according to police.

The poster said Garcia is accused of sexually assaulting the victim by penetrating his mouth and anus. He has not been charged, but police said there is probable cause for his arrest.

Information released by the NYPD didn't make clear whether the victim was already dead at the time of the first robbery, but police told Gothamist he was believed to be dead when the sexual act occurred.

Garcia also fled the scene after the incident, police said.

He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, black hooded jacket, yellow hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and red-and-white sneakers, police said. He was also carrying a black backpack, according to authorities.

In photos released by the NYPD, he also appeared to have a goatee.
