Because we can't afford to burn more trees, here are your early links: Broker fee bill won't be vetoed, dogs love Lamb Chop toys, snoozer gang and more.

Good Wednesday morning in New York City, where charity scam season is underway.
Here's what else is happening:
- Mayor Eric Adams confirmed on Tuesday that he won't veto the bill banning broker fees for most tenants.
- The most recent count of homeless youth in New York City found 418 individuals who were "unsheltered," more than twice the amount identified the previous year.
- Central Park and Prospect Park won't be holding official firework shows for New Year's Eve because of the drought. (Prospect Park is doing a drone light show instead.)
- Maybe the best pizza is in Jersey City.
- Unionized Forbes magazine employees walked out on Tuesday — on "30 under 30" publication day — to protest their low wages.
- "Brain rot" is Oxford's word of the year.
- Lamb Chop dolls are the "it" toy for dogs.
- Weed is fashion.
- And finally, snoozer:
