11-year-old girl missing from Bronx home for over a week, NYPD says

Hennessy Tavarez was last seen leaving her house in University Heights on April 13, police say.

Police on Tuesday asked the public to look out for an 11-year-old girl who they said went missing from her Bronx home more than a week ago.
Hennessy Tavarez was last seen leaving her house on Clinton Place near Davidson Avenue in University Heights around 8 a.m. on April 13, according to NYPD officials.
Police said she has run away in the past, but they did not know why she left home this time
Tavarez is described as about 5 feet tall and 120 pounds with black hair. Officials said she was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt jacket, a black bonnet, black sweatpants, and black-and-white Jordan sneakers.
