In this city, restaurants come and go faster than you can say "sustainable locavore burger." And even though there are great new additions to the culinary landscape popping up every week, you've gotta give kudos to anyone who can stick it out for over a year. With that in mind, we bring you Still Got It, our tribute to establishments that continue to serve mouthwatering meals and drinks long after the buzz has faded—or if the lingering hype is still justified.

Bushwick might not be high on the Starbucks Index quite yet, but over the past few years, the neighborhood has seen a well-documented influx of fancy bars, bistros, tasting menus and visiting Clintons. But beyond the hype and hipster hate, the neighborhood's got a few great places to go for a couple casual drinks, not the least of which is Pearl's Social & Billy Club.

Pearl's opened off the Jefferson L stop in July 2011 and has been a popular drinking hole ever since, for good reason. It's a quaint little spot, outfitted with a long, sleek wooden bar, candlelit tables, decor filched from the owner's apartment and ample windows that open up to the street in warm weather. Clientele-wise, the bar tends to attract a laid-back, slightly-older crowd, which is becoming more and more welcome while other spots nearby draw an increasingly raucous college scene.

Drinks at Pearl's are moderately-priced for the area, with rotating draft beers like Brooklyn Lager, Pacifico and Left Hand Milk Stout running $5 to $6. They've also got a good selection of bourbons, rums and rye whiskeys, and a specialty cocktail list that includes favorites like the citrus-ey Uncle Touchy—tequila, lemon, honey, ginger beer and bitters—for $10, and the apple brandy and Scotch Autumner for $12. And one of Pearl's best local offerings is its happy hour, which runs from 2 to 8 p.m. daily and knocks $2 off all draft beers, well drinks, wine and Prosecco. Another plus: all drinks up their cool-factor by coming in Mason jars. It is Bushwick, after all.

Pearl's Social & Billy Club is located at 40 St. Nicholas Ave (at Starr Street) in Bushwick, Brooklyn; 347-627-9985. Follow them on Facebook.
