Today Dunkin’ Donuts unveiled its "biggest, heartiest breakfast sandwich ever." Called "The Big ‘N Toasty Breakfast Sandwich," this monument to jaw dislocation features two peppered fried eggs, four slices of cherrywood smoked bacon and a slice of American cheese, all packed between two thick slices of Texas toast. (Wikipedia tells us Texas toast is bread that's sliced at twice the typical thickness of most pre-sliced breads.) No longer shall America waste away on a meager diet of pitiful, bite-sized breakfast sandwiches; the corporations have heard our lusty cries for larger food products! And they didn't forget the calories:
According to the Dunkin' Donuts website, the Big 'N Toasty comes with 580 calories and 35 grams of fat. It's available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts in NYC and nationwide for a limited time, at the suggested retail price of $3.29. (An employee at the Dunkin' Donuts on East 46th Street told us—after a long, confusing exchange—they're selling it for $3.80. But there was a significant language barrier, and we may have accidentally hired the guy to cat sit instead.)
And starting tomorrow, Dunkin' Donuts followers of @DunkinDonuts on Twitter are invited to participate in “Big ‘N Toasty Trivia Tuesdays,” in which Dunkin’ Donuts will ask two questions related to some of the world’s biggest things. Answer correctly, and you'll be eligible for a chance to win a $100 Dunkin’ Donuts Card. The company is giving out a total of 10 $100 Dunkin’ Donuts Cards throughout the month, so it's clear they're sparing no expense to promote this behemoth.
