Video: Pat Kiernan Serenades Sweet Kelly Ripa With Neil Diamond Tune

This morning Nick Lachey serenaded Kelly Ripa during his latest stint as a guest host on Live! With Kelly—a cheap attempt to secure the spot permanently. Luckily, that's probably the only trick this former boy band-er has up his sleeve, because as you know, we're 100% endorsing NY1's Pat Kiernan for the job of Kelly's co-host. Kiernan caught Lachey's act this morning and hustled to get his own serenade out there—which you can now watch below. It's got a lot of heart, humor, and even some ice dancing. Classic Kiernan. Introducing it on his blog, he writes:

This morning on Live! with Kelly, my rival for Kelly’s attention delivered a big punch to his fellow co-host candidates. Nick Lachey serenaded Kelly Ripa to try to win her hand as permanent co-host. He was good. On short notice, and with inspiration from Neil Diamond, I put together this response. I’m not as good as Nick. But I have choreography. (In case you’re curious, I did not suffer any serious injury when my ladder blew over.)
