Anyone who knows Fred Armisen from SNL, Portlandia, his stand-up, or interviews with ex-wives knows that he is a master at impressions. Armisen put his talents to good use last week while performing at a Doctors Without Borders benefit, doing over four minutes of improv about NYC accents.
Watch in the video below as he tries out accents from Washington Heights, Upper West Side, Astoria, West Village, Rockaway, The Bronx, East Village, Upper East Side, Brooklyn, and Long Island. But not Chinatown. No matter how many times you shout "Chinatown," it's not gonna happen, guy who shouts "Chinatown" throughout this video.
