Video: <em>Seinfeld</em> Apartment Accidentally Broken By Kramer-Wannabe

This week, Hulu unveiled a recreation of Jerry Seinfeld's apartment (modeled after season 8 of Seinfeld) to celebrate the show passing from network Earth and entering into the celestial realm of immortality (via streaming syndication). The apartment includes interactive elements like the ability to pose for your own photo shoot (like George Costanza in "The Packages"), or burst into the apartment ala Kramer. But one Aspirational Kramer was a little too giddy up about the whole experience, as you can see in the video below.

"I visited the museum within the first two hours of opening his morning and this happened," Astoria resident Tim McGeever told us. "You might say I took my Kramer impression one step too far (by accident!). I have bleeding wounds to prove it..."

McGeever, who works as a Park Ranger on the High Line, said he had waited on line for about an hour on Wednesday morning, for a chance to be one of the first people to do a Kramer-inspired entry. "You only get one shot, though, as an employee holds your camera on the other side of the door," he recalled. "Needless to say there was a lot of pressure. Pressure I can't say I handled very gracefully."

"Before I knew it I was in the apartment and so were pieces of debris. A security guard yelled out, 'Are you fucking kidding me?!', while the employee with my camera began to smirk. There was a bit of confusion/panic and they began hustling people out of the room. I tiptoed out alongside everyone else."

McGeever, who said he enjoyed the apartment thoroughly despite his adrenaline running wild after the incident, was a bit embarrassed, but felt it was probably the most appropriate thing that could have happened: "I am equally a big fan of Seinfeld and Friends, and was likened to being 'a Kramer' over the years, getting into unimaginable social situations or run-ins with celebrities," he said. "In fact, this very experience is a very Kramer thing to happen to someone, don't you think?"
