Billy Joel is a busy man, between his never-ending MSG residency, his motorcycle rides with governors, and being the patron saint of screaming conversations on the LIRR. He would be totally justified in kicking back and spending his Fridays enjoying a bottle of red at a cozy Italian restaurant—but instead, Joel spent his Friday evening this week playing a surprise set with a Billy Joel cover band on Long Island.

Joel turned up at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, NY to perform three songs alongside tribute band Big Shot. "My man Mike!" Joel said to guitarist/singer Mike DelGuidice during the surprise set. "I only live down the road from here." Joel performed The Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends," The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" and "You May Be Right" (with some bits of Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll" thrown in for good measure). You can watch the full set below.

Of course, as Rolling Stone points out, several members of Big Shot are members of Joel's touring unit. Big Shot next perform July 1st at Pittsburgh's PNC Park, which may be a bit too far for Joel to roll out of bed and join them for, but ya never know!
