There are quite a few skate-boarding bulldogs out there on the Internets—there is even a Guinness World Record for fastest skateboarding dog—so it can be hard to pick a favorite. But now that we know that we've got a local skateboarding pup, the decision is so much easier. Everybody give a welcoming bark (quietly if you are in the office) to Astoria's own skateboarding bulldog, Mr. Beefy!

An aspiring spokesdog, the four-year-old first started boarding when he was eight-months-old after his owner, computer administrator Patrick Clemens, saw a dog do it on a commercial. "I started putting him on a skateboard and since then he's been a champ," he told the Daily News. "It's a one-of-a-kind sight." Well, sort of.

Anyway, expect to see more of Mr. Beefy. He'll on the Dr. Oz Show next week and his owner wants "to enroll Beefy in a dog modeling agency in the hope of garnering appearances in movies and more ads." Just keep him out of Columbus Circle...

Speaking of animals named Mr. Something, did you know that the original Arabic name for hamster translates to "Mister Saddlebags?" True story!
