Video: Anne Hathaway Performs Rap Songs Hathaway-Style

Anne Hathaway seems like a perfectly nice person, who is undeniably talented at very over-the-top stage stuff. And this performance on last night's Tonight Show was perfectly suited for her. And yet... it still makes us cringe? Like more than we cringed while trying to watch her portray a Parkinson's patient in Love & Other Drugs?

The problem with Hathaway is that she's too perfect at being perfect, with a wink here and a fan kick there and a belting out of a tune over yonder... so trying to force even a tiny bit of edge into the whole Way She Is is just not going to work. She is trapped in a purgatory of her own perfection. And if empty, unflawed perfection is what you're into, then below you can watch her perform Snoop Dog’s “Gin and Juice,” 50 Cent’s “In Da Club,” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe, all Broadway-style... or shall we say, Hathaway-style.
