If you happen onto Google's homepage today, you'll see a Takashi Murakami doodle celebrating the Summer Solstice! As the Japanese pop artist Tweeted, "Amazing ! I & kaikaikiki team are so happy this Happening ! Thanks a Lot team Google !"
When you click on the Doodle, you'll get details about the summer solstice. According to Google's Twitter, Murakami has also created a Google Doodle for the Winter Solstice (December 22).
