Photos: The Bronx Celebrates Pride With Parade And Festival

The Bronx also became the first borough outside of Manhattan to get a "pride crosswalk."
As the city gets ready for the big World Pride Weekend, crowds came out for the Bronx Pride Parade on Sunday. One marcher told News 12, "Gay people in Uganda, gay people in Rwanda, gay people in Ukraine, gay people all over the world are standing up and saying ‘we're here.'"
The parade started at Grand Concourse and East 161st Street and ended at Third Avenue and 149th Street, where the 1 Bronx World Pride Rally and Festival was held. Politicians like State Senator Alessandra Biaggi, Senator Chuck Schumer, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed their support:
