Run, don't walk, to your computer on May 26!

Set your alarm clocks for 3 a.m. on May 26th, 2013 A.D. (if you're on the east coast), for at that precise date and time Netflix will give unto the world 15 new episodes of Arrested Development, arguably mankind's greatest achievement. Is it any coincidence the series returns on a Sunday, when the LORD likes to kick back and enjoy his greatest gift to television comedy? It's impossible to hype this moment too much, and we are surely not setting ourselves up for a painful disappointment.

According to an announcement from Netflix, the ravenously-anticipated fourth season will be available in its entirety at the stroke of midnight PDT on the 26th "in all territories where Netflix is available—U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, Latin America, Brazil and the Nordics." Yes, even Wee Britain! Creator Mitch Hurwitz has said that all 15 episodes are interconnected, with each episode seen from "a different character’s point of view. And that became a really fun, interesting, engaging creative challenge. We started finding out that the stories would intersect. You’ll later come to see a scene again, but from the other perspective you’ll get all this other information."

Hurwitz also said that when we rejoin the Bluth family, "They've destroyed the environment, the environment has destroyed them...There are a lot of ostriches. I would describe this season of Arrested as being bird-heavy." Ca-caw-ca-caw? Here's the announcement from Netflix"

"Arrested Development is now widely viewed as one of the top TV comedies of all time and Mitch Hurwitz is bringing it to Netflix in a brand new way, crafted for the on-demand generation that has come to discover the show in the years since it last appeared on TV," said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix. "The highly anticipated return of this show is sure to make history all over again."

"Ted said that? Wow. Well don't print this obviously, but he's going to be immensely disappointed. In truth we are doing something very ambitious that can only be done with Netflix as partners and on their platform. Finally my simple wish for the show is coming true: that it be broadcast every second around the clock to every television, computer or mobile device in existence," said series creator and executive producer Mitch Hurwitz.

Arrested Development centers around Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) and his eccentric family comprised of his son George Michael (Michael Cera), his father George Bluth Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor), his mother Lucille (Jessica Walter), his brothers George Oscar Bluth II (Will Arnett), Buster Bluth (Tony Hale) and sister Lindsay Funke (Portia de Rossi), and Lindsay's husband Tobias (David Cross) and their daughter Maeby (Alia Shawkat).
