A Seinfeld Experience For The Rest Of Us Is Coming To NYC

Jerry Seinfeld himself said of the immersive experience, "All I can say is, in the general context of the world we live in, this now seems completely normal."

Next week marks the 30th anniversary of the Seinfeld pilot, which aired on NBC on July 5th, 1989. The premiere was followed by around 180 more episodes, all of which had something to offer the pop culture lexicon, and those timeless references seem forever tucked into our back pockets for frequent use. So naturally, the iconic sitcom (along with all of the real and spectacular catchphrases we've cherished all these years) is being celebrated this year.
Today Superfly announced they'll be bringing The Seinfeld Experience to NYC this fall. Yep, the immersive Seinfeld experience that isn't just living in New York, is here. Even Jerry Seinfeld is (contractually-obligated to be) on board—he released this statement:
"Because I am Seinfeld, for a long time I was the only person to actually have the Seinfeld experience. Now, these crazy Superfly people are going to make it so lots of people can interact with our silly 90’s TV show. All I can say is, in the general context of the world we live in, this now seems completely normal."
The finer details have not been released yet, nor have any renderings, but the attraction will likely be gold, Jerry, if Seinfeld's sign-off of it is any indication. It aims to bring a "fully immersive behind-the-scenes look at the legendary television show" through an exploration of the show itself, as well as its more memorable moments and characters. According to the press release, "The ticketed experience will feature interactive exhibits designed to bring Seinfeld to life that include iconic costumes, memorabilia, set re-creations, and props from the show as well as never before seen content." And of course, there will be a gift shop where you can purchase a gift that will later be re-gifted.
The Experience will be located in Gramercy, a neighborhood Kramer visited when he followed Barry the sniffing accountant to Pete's Tavern in Season Five. Tickets will go on sale this summer (and be available for purchase through February 2020). For now, you can sign up for email alerts. When you control the email, you control the information.
