Not that we'd wish a ride in an ambulance on anyone, but here's a new site dedicated to the paramedic stylings of a certain rockers: It's The Night David Lee Roth Saved My Life. Inspired by news that Roth is now working as a paramedic in NY, the site will be a venue for people who have been, well, saved by Diamond Dave.
In New York City's emergency rooms, medical care is undertaken by two different but equally important groups. The people who suffer injuries and illness, and David Lee Roth, who saves them. These are their stories.
Of course, Gothamist appreciates the homage to Law & Order. Anyway, we think site should be great, if it gets actual responses. Perhaps they could run imagined stories from Roth's patients in the meantime; for example, "Who knew that the next time I would see my dimebag buddy from Washington Square Park, he would be performing an emergency tracheotomy?"
And the photo is from This Old Toy, which looked at Fisher Price's Little People. Man, Gothamist barely recognizes the Little People today - their faces are so much more articulated!
