Greg Kelly Leaving Good Day, Going To Anchor Real News Now

June 28, 2012, 1:10 p.m.

Greg Kelly, the gaffe-prone son of police commissioner Ray Kelly last in the news when he was accused of rape, is leaving the morning show The Soup so loves to mock.

Ann Curry leaving Today isn't the only big news in morning TV. Greg Kelly, the gaffe-prone son of police commissioner Ray Kelly last in the news when he was accused of rape, is leaving the morning show The Soup so loves to mock. But he's not leaving WNYW, no—in fact he's getting a promotion. Kelly is now going to be co-anchoring the network's 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. But what about Ernie "Keep Fucking That Chicken" Anastos?

Well, apparently Anastos is out for the 10 p.m. newscast but will remain a co-anchor at 5 p.m. Meanwhile, former Early Show weather anchor Dave Price (who used to do the weather on WNYW) will replace Kelly in the morning. We imagine Rosanna Scotto, who used to have the 10 p.m. slot, has got to have some interesting thoughts on this change! Will there be tears tomorrow?

Meanwhile The Soup has yet to respond to this shocking development. According to Fox 5 the change will start on Monday, July 2nd.
